Glenn Beck has been talking about the failures of the mainstream media for some time now. From the lack of genuine journalistic curiosity and integrity during the last Presidential campaign, to the recent media failures in the wake of the attacks on the U.S. embassies on September 11th of this year, Beck and others see the traditional news outlets as abject failures. Glenn has even warned the news media that they had better get start doing their jobs or the audiences will soon start leaving them in droves.
Today might be the day that the exodus from the mainstream media begins. A powerful new video called "Breaking Up With The Mainstream Media" from Ann-Marie Murrell, a member of a group of conservative journalists who call themselves "PolitiChicks" was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday. The group's website describes Ms. Murrell as the original anchor and the National Director/Editor-in-Chief of PolitiChicks.tv. She is one of the go-to Conservative reporters in Los Angeles and has covered multiple political events throughout the United States.
The emotional clip features Ann-Marie, telling the media just how much they used to mean to her:
"I fell in love with the Beatles watching you."
Sounding like an abused wife in a Lifetime movie, she also tells the MSM that she's had enough and is breaking up with them.
"But a person can only take so much abuse... and I know what you've been saying about me. You haven't even tried to be subtle about it. You didn't even do it behind my back. You did it in public, on Twitter! You ridiculed my beliefs. You denigrated everything about me. You called me names."
"I can't take it any more. The thing about abuse, about being someone's doormat, as soon as you find out you're being stepped on, as soon as you realize this, you can never go back to being a doormat again. So, to make this permanent, to make this real, I'm calling my cable company and having you removed from my home."
Ann-Marie makes her case and supports it with quotes from the mainstream media itself.
