USA Today seems to have a low bar for Beyonce's 'Star-Spangled Banner' at inauguration

From USA Today (emphasis mine):

Beyoncé, James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson will perform the patriotic songs at the second inauguration of President Obama on Jan. 21, the inauguration committee will announce today.

Beyoncé, who's also starring at the Super Bowl halftime show next month, will sing the national anthem, always a tough tune to pull off well.

To understand the paper's hesitation for enthusiasm, remember Christina Aguilera performing the song in 2011's Super Bowl. And harken back to Cyndi Lauper changing up its lyrics on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

But here's hoping Beyonce, who is generally awesome, pulls it off.
