During a pro-Israel campus event this week, University of New Orleans sophomore Chloé Simone Valdary delivered a stirring speech about the alarming rise of anti-Semitism currently spreading across the globe. She urged her colleagues to stand for Israel as its enemies vow to wipe the nation off the face of the planet.
"That thing we said would never happen again is happening," Valdary said, referring to the Holocaust.
Valdary, who created the campus-based group Allies for Israel, said radical Egyptians chanted for the death of Israel over and over again during the so-called "Arab Spring" and other radical Islamic nations continue to call for Israel's destruction.
"How will we respond?" she asked. "George Washington said that the time is near at hand, which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves. I believe the time is near which must determine whether Jews and those who love them are to be courageous or cowards. To ignore the calls for annihilation or go to battle."
