Brawl in the Hall': Taiwan Parliament Devolves Into Shouting, Hair-Pulling Chaos Over Tax Debate

Think you’re passionate about the amount of cash the government confiscates from you?
Sorry, but you haven’t got a thing on members of Taiwan's ruling Kuomintang Party.
These guys and gals are serious about taxation. So serious, in fact, that a recent meeting of parliament descended into hair-pulling chaos over an argument involving the capital gains tax:
“The ruling Kuomintang party lawmakers were occupying the podium to prevent the opposition party from revoking Taiwan's capital gains tax,” the BBC reports.
“The capital gains tax for stock transactions was approved by Kuomintang last year and introduced in January, but traders and business groups have strongly opposed the tax,” the report.
