Democratic polling firm throws a wet blanket on Wendy Davis

At least one of the potential political aspirations for Texas State Sen. Wendy Davis (D) -- the new pro-choice movement hero for her 11-hour filibuster against an anti-abortion bill --  receives a reality check from Democratic polling firm Public Policy Polling:

Davis would trail Rick Perry by 14 points in a hypothetical match up [for governorship], 53/39. While Davis' standing has improved over the last five months so has Perry's.

Davis reportedly spoke last week with the chairman of the Democratic Governors Association.
