Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly continued his series of race-themed commentary Monday, picking up from the controversy he started last week addressing what he sees as the root of problems in broken black communities.
Since the acquittal of George Zimmerman on charges of killing Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black Florida teen, Martin's parents have waged a media campaign against gun violence, while also maintaining that Zimmerman was wrongly acquitted.
In his "talking points memo," O'Reilly sympathized. "The anger this case has engendered is understandable," he said. "If Trayvon Martin was my son, I would be doing exactly what his parents are doing."
