McCarthy stuff': Chris Matthews thinks calling Obama 'Obama' is uncivilized for some reason

"I'm not paranoid," MSNBC host Chris Matthews insisted Tuesday, but "it seems there’s a very interesting, compelling, continuing effort to delegitimize this president."

Speaking to the author of a book titled "Bush's Brain" (ahem... not "President Bush's Brain"), Matthews insisted that referring to President Obama by only his last name and referencing the Obamacare "bill" instead of the Obamacare "law" are just a couple of ways the Republican Party actively works to "delegitimize" the president and his legacy in office.

But they first of all referred to him, not as the ‘President of the United States’ but as a ‘liberal leader.’ They refer to the health care act of 2010 as ‘a bill.’ They refer to him as ‘Obama.’ They don’t say the ‘the president.’ They don’t say the ‘a law.’ They don’t even speak the language we normally speak in civilized political debate.

Oh, and it also seems as if "the birther issue" is still at the forefront of Matthews' mind...
