You'll Never Believe Whose Birthday It Is Today

It’s an unfortunate soul whose birthday falls on such a notorious day. Somehow, though, Syrian President Bashar Assad marking his 48th birthday on September 11 seems at minimum ironic.

Israel’s Arutz 7 called Russian President Vladimir Putin’s offer of a deal to avert an American military strike on Syria a birthday “gift” for the Syrian president.

One Twitter user posing as Assad wrote, "F*** Osama Bin Laden for ruining my birthday! All everyone is talking about is 9/11!!"
