Hecklers Interrupt Obama's Big Health Care Speech – See How He Turned It Into a Joke
October 30, 2013
"This is the health care rally."
President Barack Obama's Boston speech, aimed at addressing problems with his signature health care program, was briefly interrupted Wednesday by a group of protesters worried about climate change.
"Mr. President," the group started chanting, "Stop climate change for our generation. Stop the pipeline." The protesters were referring to the controversial Keystone XL pipeline opposed by many environmental groups.
Obama quickly dismissed the small group of demonstrators, telling them they were at the "wrong rally," as they were escorted out.
"We had the climate change rally back in the summer," the president quipped. "This is the health care rally."
Another protester attempted to heckle the president at the 20-minute mark of his speech, but he failed to interrupt his speech.
