The Reason This Topless Barber Has Been Charged Is Not What You Think

A 46-year-old Colorado woman who gained notoriety for giving haircuts while topless was arrested Wednesday — but the charges don't stem from the risqué manner in which she aimed to please her customers.

Instead, Suzette Hall, who offered her services in the fitting city of Loveland, was taken into custody on suspicion of practicing cosmetology without a valid license, according to the Longmont Times Call.

Police executed a warrant at her home and arrested Hall, holding her in custody on a $25,000 bond. She is also accused of felony impersonation.

Longmont Police Det. Stephen Desmond said witnesses said Hall was charging $45 for her signature topless haircuts and advertising on Craigslist.

The Times Call reported that the police warrant said Hall had nine previous felony convictions, including motor vehicle theft and several convictions relating to identify theft.
