Football fans fighting in stadium bleachers is hardly breaking news.
But this scuffle -- a decidedly one-sided affair -- has been making a few headlines.
The aggressor in the Sugar Bowl stands was none other than a rather stylish-looking woman decked out in tall brown boots, jeans with some sparkles, and even a smart red scarf (consensus seems to indicate she's a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide).
Sometime during Thursday's contest, perhaps still smarting after Alabama's gut-wrenching, improbable loss to Auburn in November, she walked across the steps to an opposing bleacher and appeared to have a few words with what odds-makers are betting is an Oklahoma Sooners fan (complete with Cheshire cat grin and apparently enjoying the action).
The woman was at first restrained by a male, who may have been attending the game with her. He appeared to be successful, managing to coax her back to other side of the steps.
But maybe Alabama head coach Nick Saban should offer to have her don a helmet and pair of shoulder pads next time the Tide plays.
Because seeing a little daylight, the woman bounded back toward her nemesis...
...and jumped full body over other fans in an attempt to beat the guy with her fists.
Her arms quickly restrained, she turned to her boots and began kicking viciously at the guy, by then having evacuated a wide zone.
Soon she was led away again, only to attack a different Sooners fan standing on the steps.
Finally security showed up, drawing the action to a close.
Whatever happened to this woman afterward, the trouble she went through didn't do Alabama any good: They lost to Oklahoma 45-31.
