If you haven't caught 'Lone Survivor' the movie, read the book first

"Lone Survivor" as most already know is the courageous and heart-rending story of Marcus Luttrell and his fellow SEAL Team 10 soldiers and their mission to capture or kill a top Al-Qaeda leader in Afghanistan, in which Luttrell was the only one to survive. The movie which has been met with rave reviews is of course based on Luttrell's eyewitness account, published in 2010.

Similarly highly-acclaimed, user reviews are glowing on both Amazon and Goodreads. On Amazon, the book is rated 4.6/5 based on 4,479 reviews, and on Goodreads 4.31/5 based on a whopping 20,780 ratings.
