A Few Pointers on How NOT to Rob a Bank, Courtesy of One Hapless Thief During One Very Botched Heist

A man accused of robbing a bank may not have had much of a chance to begin with.

The suspect, Robert Williams, is seen on surveillance video dropping all of the cash he had allegedly stolen from a PNC Bank in Laurel, Md. on Wednesday, frantically picking it back up, and then stuffing it into an open umbrella.

But that's not all, reported WRC-TV in Washington, D.C.

After the clumsy robber drove away from the scene, police used "stop sticks" to flatten the tires on his getaway car. The sticks did the trick, popping two tires.

At that point Williams apparently had enough behind the wheel, so exited the car and tried to flee... only to slip on a patch of ice, cutting his head, a spokesperson for the City of Laurel said.

Williams was arrested and charged with robbery and numerous traffic offenses.
