Piers Morgan's primetime show is on the chopping block which leaves a void in CNN's 9 p.m. slot. Maybe Larry King will take it back.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, King, 81, said he "would do it" if his current employer at Ora TV could "work it out" with CNN.
King hosted "Larry King Live" on CNN from 1985 to 2010, when he handed off the spot to Morgan.
Since then, the two have taken public shots at each other over differences in interviewing techniques. "We were very different styles," King told the Beast. "I asked shorter questions. I left myself out of it. Piers is more of an ‘I’ interview style.”
In a recent tweet, Morgan inexplicably said that King should "show some respect and stop b***ing incessantly about CNN."
King currently hosts the interview program "Larry King Now" which plays online at Hulu and also on RT, a Russia-based cable channel.
