See the Moment Two Sisters Separated for 66 Years Reunite

They hadn't seen each other for two-thirds of a century, but that all changed this month when Anne Simpton traveled to Auburn, California to reunite with her sister Karen.

The two, abandoned by their parents in 1948, found each other through Facebook and Internet searches, according to KRCA-TV.

That's when they decided they had to reunite.

KRCA-TV captured their first emotional embrace in 66 years on camera.

"You've grown up," Anne told her sister, upon seeing her for the first time in decades. "You were a 12-month-old when I saw you."

Karen told the local NBC affiliate how she always longed for a sister.

"I always wanted a sister to dress up with, to play tea parties with. I never had one," she told KRCA-TV.

Three other siblings were also left at a Portland, Oregon orphanage and Karen is planning another reunion with her older brother, KRCA-TV reported.
