The First 40 Seconds of a 79-Year-Old Woman's Routine on 'Britain's Got Talent' Had Simon Yawning -- The Last 2:20 Brought Him to His Feet

"Amazing, amazing!"

When Paddy and Nico took the stage this weekend to perform for "Britain's Got Talent," the judges didn't seem to expect much. The first 40 seconds confirmed that: In fact, judges and members of the audience could be seen staring off in the distance and Simon Cowell even yawned and buzzed them to show his displeasure.

Almost exactly at that moment, something incredible happened. And what unfolded over the next two minutes involving several incredible moves eventually brought Simon to his feet.

"Amazing, amazing!" judge Amanda Holden yelled. Then she backed that up by hitting the "golden buzzer," which put the pair automatically into the live finals.  “All my money is riding on her to win. When I saw her I knew she was the act for me," she added.

As for Simon, he had to issue a mea culpa.

"I apologize for for what I did, because I did obviously buzz a little early," he said, adding that they went "ballistic" and it was "extraordinary." He also said, “The British public are going to fall in love with Paddy. She is going to steal the show.”

As for Paddy, she said she's been dancing since she was a little girl. She eventually got married and moved to Spain with her husband, who died 18 months later. That's when she found Nico's dance academy and perfected her craft.
