‘Everybody Good?’: That’s the Question He Asked Right Before He Cut Down Giant Branch. The Next Question Asked Was ‘911 or Not?’

"I don’t want to hit anybody..."

A new video posted on YouTube shows the dangers of tree-trimming. The video was uploaded by user Kurt Stepp a few days ago and reportedly shows the man’s coworker experiencing a terrifying brush with death.

Standing at the top of a ladder, a man yells out, “I don’t want to hit anybody, is everybody good?” When he gets the OK, the man starts cutting the branch.

As the branch starts to fall, it suddenly gets caught at the bottom and swings back towards the man holding the chainsaw. The large branch throws the man from the top of the ladder to the ground with intense force.

“911 or not?!” the woman recording the episode screams. She then appears to make her way inside to possibly dial 911.

One YouTube user claims to know exactly what went wrong: "[W]hen cutting off limbs you do an undercut first. End of lesson."

We reached out to Stepp on Twitter Friday night and asked him if his coworker is OK, to which he replied, "haha he is." When we asked if suffered so much as a broken bone, he said "he is fine."
