A Food Fight Actually Landed One Man in the Hospital

A 36-year-old Seattle man was so intent on getting falafel over the weekend that he was willing to fight for the fried chickpea balls.

Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, the man sauntered into Cinbad Express in Fremont, hoping for the late-night snack when he learned that the group ahead of him had ordered the last batch, according to the Seattle Police Department's report. That's when things got ugly.

The man began insulting the group and slapped one man and punched another after they told him to leave the restaurant, police said.

That's when two men in the group tackled the unnamed suspect, shattering his shin bone in the process. The restaurant cooks broke up the fight.

The police report went on to say the falafel-less suspect hobbled out of the shop and into a cab, but he didn't get far. By the time paramedics and police arrived, the cab was still outside the restaurant where the man sat holding his leg.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police did not indicate any charges at this time.
