Wild Dashcam Video Shows a Semitruck and Car Missing Each Other by Just Inches
May 07, 2014
Talk about good brakes.
Here's a little story about why it's important to look both ways before you cross the road -- and why you should keep your brakes pads up to snuff.
In Russia, where it seems like every car has a dashboard-mounted camera running to capture videos just like this, a semitruck was driving safely down a road when a small vehicle creeped out a little too far from the intersection and attempted to turn left.
Amazingly, the semi was able to hit the breaks and stop inches away, avoiding an accident that would have surely crushed the car.
Check it out (Note: fast-forward 20 seconds to jump right to the moment):
The truck driver can be seen shaking his fist at the careless car driver through his cab window. Just as the he exited the semi, the offending car quickly backed up.
Eventually, the person who we can only assume to be the driver of the other car, walks up looking apologetic as the truck driver is inspecting his bumper.
