What comes to mind when you hear the name, Larry King?
If this was "Family Feud," and the subject was, "Things that make Larry King famous," we're betting that the top five answers on the board would not include:
- Taking "selfies"
- Getting high with rapper Snoop Dogg
- Crashing his car into the car of then-Senator (and soon to be presidential candidate) John F. Kennedy.
In the course of a very entertaining six-minute interview with Seth Myers on "Late Night," King shared those surprising stories.
His very first "selfie"? That was with with supermodel and actress Brooklyn Decker:
He also detailed his exploits with rapper Snoop Dogg.
"I love Snoop Dogg," King said. But, he added, "he just constantly smokes pot." He then explained taking a ride with the rapper who was smoking marijuana, and "he's smoking and I'm getting high."
"It was weird," he added to chuckles.
He then wrapped up the segment by explaining to Meyers a magical moment from early in his radio career when King crashed his car into a car driven by Senator John F. Kennedy. Nobody was injured in the collision. However, ever the astute politician, Kennedy made a deal with King and the three other men riding with him. He would forgive the accident and not call the police if the four men would promise to vote for him when he "runs for president in two years."
