'Dead' Toddler Reportedly Did Something Shocking Inside Her Coffin — and This Video Shows Her Family's Big Reaction

"...the young patient had no more pulse and was clinically dead last Saturday morning..."

Update: The toddler has reportedly died following the incident.

It might seem unbelievable, but a Filipino toddler who was reportedly pronounced dead Friday awoke during her own funeral over the weekend, stunning her family and friends, according to the Philippine Star.

Heidil Teelan, police chief of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines, told the outlet that officers were dispatched to explore the case and that the details seem to check out, though he noted that his department isn't the proper authority to confirm the case's medical aspects.

A video uploaded to YouTube shows the unnamed 3-year-old's relatives' stunned reactions as they remove her from a wooden coffin.

Teelan said that the girl's health problems began after she came down with a fever last week before her parents sought medical attention Friday at a local clinic. It was there that she reportedly showed no signs of life.

"During that time, the attending clinic personnel and physician confirmed that the young patient had no more pulse and was clinically dead last Saturday morning about 9 a.m.," Teelan told the Philippine Star.

So, the family planned a funeral and invited friends and family, but when the child was inside a wooden casket the next day someone noticed her head moving and found a pulse.

The family gave the toddler water and medical attention, though her current condition is not known.

"We really can not make confirmation on the status of the girl but based on the observation of the police personnel I deployed it appear the girl remained in a state of comatose in their house," Teelan told the outlet.

The child will likely be sent to a local hospital for more extensive treatment.
