After Reading This Note, It's Likely One Bike Thief Immediately Regretted Stealing From This Particular Man

"Please dear bike thief, don’t take this as a threat."

A London man is enjoying some sweet revenge on the man who allegedly stole his bike after he posted a “Dear Douchebag Bike Thief” letter at the scene of the crime and images of the letter went viral.

In the letter, Aaron Rush informs the alleged bike thief that he recently equipped his bike with a GPS unit after having been a victim to bike theft in the past. He also let the guy know that his face was caught on CCTV cameras at a train station.

“So unfortunately, for you, I know where you live,” Rush wrote in the letter. “Please dear bike thief, don’t take this as a threat. I’m sure you had your reasons, I just want my bike back.”

The letter goes on to offer the bike thief a deal: “All I am asking is if you return the bike before the end of the week, that will be the end of it. If not: You’ll be getting a visit from our majesty’s finest.”

Rush was also polite enough to specify which bike is his, just in case the alleged thief had stolen more than one bike.

Rush, 23, told the Daily Mail that the tracker has since been disabled or broken as he was unable to find the signal again. When he first checked the tracker, it was clear that his bike was still in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, where he works. He said he posted the letter in hopes that it would scare the alleged thief enough to make him return the bike.

If the bike isn’t returned, hopefully the tracking data will be enough to help police track the suspect down.
