Tim Tebow’s Surprise for Teen With Life-Threatening Illness ‘Made Her Dreams Come True’

Former NFL player Tim Tebow surprised a 15-year-old girl battling a life-threatening illness with a trip to Arizona to meet meet him — but that wasn't all.

"Haley’s journey to meet Tim began with a simple wish, and like all W15H experiences, became a completely customized trip full of exciting adventures," Tebow's foundation said in a statement unveiling a video documenting the teen's experience.

Tebow paid for Haley Burke, who has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and her family to fly from Virginia and stay in the presidential suite of a Scottsdale resort for four days.

Upon arrival, the family was greeted by rose pedals leading them to their room, along with a sign that said, "Welcome princess Haley."

The teenager spent hours hanging out with Tebow, in addition to being pampered with a spa treatment and airplane tour of the Grand Canyon.

She also had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at an Arizona Dimondbacks baseball game.

The experience touched Haley so much that her mother, Jaimie, said at the conclusion of the trip Tebow "made her dreams come true."

"Just hearing her tell me, 'Mom, I've never felt like this,' has meant the world to me," Jamie said.

According to Tebow's foundation, each year the W15H program creates similar experience for 20 other children battling life-threatening illnesses.

"W15H has granted over 40 official W15H experiences at many venues including NFL Games, Award Shows, Disney World and more," the foundation's website says.

"In addition, Tim has connected with hundreds of special children around the country as part of our W15H Brighter Days. W15H Brighter Days consist of phone calls, hospital visits, meet and greets at speaking engagements and more," it adds.
