September 17, 2014
"The aftermath..."
Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton shared a picture on Instagram Tuesday revealing how his face looked like after being pegged by an 88 mph fastball last week.
"The aftermath..Making huge progress!!" Stanton wrote on the social media platform. "Want to thank everyone who has played a part in my recovery process. Your kind messages, thoughts & prayers have meant the world to me. Pushing forward."
The 24-year-old, who led the National League in home runs and RBIs entering September, was hit in the face last week during a game in Milwaukee.
