In viral video parlance, this is what's known as an "epic fail." But it's the cutest one you'll see.
The Wallkill, New York, Mighty Mites football team was celebrating a 24-0 victory in their home opener. Flanked by their cheerleaders, the 5- and 6-year old football players were running off the field towards a banner held by two moms. They were expected to burst through the banner, just like the pros and older players are often seen doing before games.

While it seemed like a good idea, the execution of that idea was something altogether different. The well-intentioned moms used a banner that was made of vinyl. That vinyl banner turned out to be stronger than the little kids.

In fact, the banner was stronger than the entire team, acting more like a net, capturing almost every single Mighty Mite.

The video also recorded the reaction from the team's cheerleaders. One of the young ladies found the pile-up to be quite entertaining and could not contain her joy, repeatedly jumping up and down.
