‘Oh My God!’: Video Captures Shock Moment a Train Smashes Into an 18-Wheeler Lying on the Tracks

Shock footage published online Sunday captured the moment a train slammed into an 18-wheeler lying on the tracks in Mer Rouge, Louisiana.

"Oh my God!" the unidentified woman recording shouted. "Just tell me he got out."

"It was like watching TV," she added.

According to CBS News, the crash seriously injured a train conductor and left an engineer with minor injuries. The conductor was airlifted to the hospital, but his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

Spokesman Jeff DeGraff told CBS News that the trailer got stuck on the tracks, but the driver successfully jumped out and avoided injury.

The accident ultimately derailed two engines and 17 cars.

Mer Rouge police also evacuate approximately 50 homes over concern a tank of pressurized gas might explode.
