There's a new and perhaps even easier way to solve math problems just in case you're tired of punching all those numbers, decimals, fractions and equations into your calculator.
A new app scheduled for release in early 2015 will read and solve mathematical problems and equations for you in one of the simplest ways imaginable. All you have to do is place your smartphone camera over whichever equation you'd like and voila, "PhotoMath" will read the problem or equation and give you an answer in no time.
It's perhaps an advanced kind of cheat sheet. However, the new app will also tell users how to get to the answer. So instead of a cheat sheet, consider it a learning tool.
After all, that is more a more accurate assessment as stated on the app's website: "PhotoMath reads and solves mathematical expressions by using the camera of your mobile device in real time. It makes math easy and simple by educating users how to solve math problems.
PhotoMath will support basic features such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It will also solve fractions and decimals, powers and roots and even simple linear equations.
But if you're struggling to solve other types of problems or equations, don't worry. App developers said there are even more features that will be added later.
So grab a piece of "Pi" and celebrate because math could be getting a whole lot easier.
