Seattle Seahawks' Live Mascot Treats Fan to Unexpected Meet-and-Greet
November 09, 2014
Taima decided to flap to sound of a different feather.
The Seattle Seahawks' mascot is no human disguised by a fuzzy costume — it's a real hawk named Taima.
A big part of Taima's fan appeal is a well-practiced pre-game flight around the inner perimeter of CenturyLink Field, Bleacher Report noted.
But before Sunday's home contest against the New York Giants, Taima decided to flap to sound of a different feather. Instead of landing back with his handler, Taima grabbed a perch right on the back of a fan's neck.

It ended well. Taima's new friend appeared unscathed — even offering the bird a friendly pat or two.
The hawk reportedly got back with his handler.
