All of Our Hearts Stopped': Friend Details the Amazing Thing That Happened Shortly After MTV Star Died

"She asked me to pray for peace."

MTV reality star Diem Brown died Friday while in her third battle with cancer and just two days after she appealed to fans for prayers as her doctors were "seemingly giving up." Now, her friends are taking something that happened in the hospital at her death as a sign.

"There were strobe lights, and it was so loud – like a dance club," Julie Rotondi told People Magazine of a fire alarm going off after her close friend's death. "All of our hearts stopped. It was classic Diem. She was up there having her dance off. It could not have been more fitting. It was like, 'Yep. She did that.'"

What's more, People also pointed out that Brown died at 10:22 a.m., the same time she was born on June 12, 1982.

According to People, Brown spent her final hours with friends and family. On Thursday, she prayed with her friend Alicia Quarles of E! News and pastors from Hillsong Church.

"She asked me to get her into prayer position," Quarles told People. "That girl got on her knees and we prayed. She asked me to pray for peace."

The 32-year-old stared on MTV's “Real World/Road Rules Challenge."
