Mandy McCracken was driving in Houston late Thursday night when she witnessed a horrific car crash caused by a drunk driver.
A white truck zoomed past her and smashed into an SUV, causing the SUV to flip over and trap the driver inside. It all happened within moments, she told KHOU11.
McCracken rushed to the SUV, getting there before the firefighters and an ambulance, where she was unable to free the man. The only thing she could do was comfort him at the end of his life.

"A man hit you going 80 miles an hour," she told him. "You are not responsible for this."
She then told the victim, whose name has not been released, that she didn't know if he was a person of faith.
"I'm going to pray with you," she told him. Though he was unconscious, she said his arm "twitched" in response.
"Somebody probably lost a brother, a son, friend and it's all senseless," McCracken told KHOU11, fighting back tears.

McCracken wants the man's family to know that "someone was with him, that he was not alone."
Houston police said they could smell alcohol on the breath of the man driving the white truck, 24-year-old Samuel Johnson. Police say he rear ended a car, and then crashed into the SUV while fleeing the scene.
