Rafael Ramos Left Two Sons Behind. The New York Yankees Are Doing Something Huge to Help the Slain Cop's Sons.

Their father was killed, slain along with his partner in an ambush-style shooting in broad daylight Saturday.
But there's a glimmer of hope in the darkness: 13-year-old Jaden and his college-attending older brother, sons of police officer Rafael Ramos, will have their education expenses covered thanks to the New York Yankees, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.

The Yankee Silver Shield Foundation was founded by the late Yankee owner George Steinbrenner to fund the education of the children of fallen police.
The Daily News reported that the foundation would pay for Ramos' sons' education; Liu, who had married shortly before the fatal shooting, had no children.
