'Amazing': Astonishing Footage Captures Heroic Monkey Saving ‘Dying’ Friend at Train Station

Incredible footage posted online Sunday shows a monkey coming to the rescue of his "dying" friend at a train station in India.

According to the Telegraph, the monkey fell unconscious Saturday after it was electrocuted walking on high tension wires in the northern city of Kanpur.

The monkey's friend, however, was close by and attempted to revive his companion through a variety of maneuvers — including dousing him in water and hitting him.

Eventually, after about 20 minutes had passed, the electrocuted monkey regained consciousness and began moving again.

Video of the incident had amassed more than 870,000 views on YouTube at the time of publication.

"Amazing," commented one individual.

"Incredible," echoed another.

"Monkeys...together..strong!" wrote one person, playing off a "Planet of the Apes" reference.
