The first Miami Beach Bowl ended with a violent brawl.

After going into double overtime, the game finally ended when the Memphis Tigers nabbed an interception, shutting down the BYU Cougars and winning the game 55-48.

But after a grueling game full of insults and injuries, the players weren't done — they started throwing punches.

BYU hasn't said what punishment might await fighting players, especially sophomore defensive back Kai Nacua, who was filmed brutally sucker-punching a Memphis player in the back of the head.

“We expect better of our athletes, even in the face of a difficult loss," BYU said in a statement released to KSTU-TV. "We intend to fully review this matter.”
