UPDATE 6:10 a.m. Sunday: Tarod Thornhill, 17, was arrested around 3:15 a.m. Sunday in connection with the Saturday Monroeville Mall shooting, WTAE-TV reported.
Thornhill is being charged as an adult with aggravated assault, attempted homicide, and recklessly endangering other people in what police said may have been a targeted shooting.

Police said they believe Thornhill may have been targeting one of the males who was injured in the shooting.

UPDATE 11:10 p.m. EST: Police told KDKA-TV that two men and one woman were the shooting victims. One of the men was the intended target in the shooting, police added, while the woman and the other man were bystanders.
"All of the sudden we heard people screaming," Athena Coffey of Churchill told KDKA-TV, "and the next thing you see is a bunch of people, teenagers, scared to death, just exodus en masse in a way you could not believe. I grabbed my children, husband, we started screaming 'go, go, go!'"
Yvette Jackson of North Braddock was attending a birthday party at Giggles and Smiles, a fitness and fun center for children.
"We saw a lot of running, a lot of chaos," she told the newspaper. She said she and other patrons were locked in the store for about 45 minutes until police came and let them out.
In late December, hundreds of teenagers gathered at the mall and several fights broke out. The fights caused local officials and mall administration to agree on a plan to increase security there.

UPDATE 10:10 p.m. EST: Sources said three people were shot; two are in critical condition and a third is in serious condition, KDKA-TV reported.
The shooting stemmed from a gang fight, a police source said, adding that there were multiple shooters.
Police and FBI agents have been going door-to-door at shops at the mall looking for suspects, KDKA reported.

More from KDKA:
Another source inside the mall, who did not want to be identified, says a guard reported hearing “shots fired” near the Mister Rogers Neighborhood play area and that a person was found shot inside the Macy’s department store.Shortly after, mall security called to evacuate the entire mall.
The motive for the shooting is unclear and there's no immediate word regarding the suspect, the station said.
One hospital has reportedly received three shooting victims, KDKA added.
Monroeville is about 20 minutes east of Pittsburgh.
