An editor at Vogue magazine deleted a photo she posted to her personal Instagram amid criticism that it was "disturbingly out of touch."
The image posted by editor-at-large Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis Saturday depicted a homeless individual reading an issue of Vogue.

"Paris is full of surprises....and @voguemagazine readers even in unexpected corners!" the caption read.
Von Thurn und Taxis was slammed for the photo, with website Fashionista calling it "disturbingly out of touch" and saying she "crossed" a line.
According to CNN, commenters on the photo blasted the image as "shameful" and "cruel." Others, however, came out in the Vogue editor's defense.
After igniting controversy, the photo was eventually removed from von Thurn und Taxis' account.
"I wanted to extend my sincerest apologies for the offense my post has caused," she said in a followup.
