MESA, Ariz. (TheBlaze/AP) -- Police said one person has died and five people were wounded in a rampage in a Phoenix suburb that led to an extended search for the suspect.
Mesa police confirmed shortly before 1 p.m. local time that the suspect had been captured, more than two hours after the rampage began.
Mesa Detective Esteban said the crime spree included a carjacking and a home invasion.

The first shooting happened at a motel, and people were also wounded at a restaurant and nearby apartment complexes.
Police say the suspect is described in his early 30s or late 40s, with tattoos on head and face.
