"C'mon, bring it in for the real thing!"
A pair of Delaware police officers were recently dispatched for a special assignment: walk down streets with signs reading, "Free Hugs #HugACop."
Newark Police Department Officers James Spadola and Aaron Olicker were a conspicuous sight in the town that's home to the University of Delaware — and for the most part, didn't need to coax too much:
Some may have been in a rush. "No takers?" one of the officers remarked after one woman passed by quickly:
And yes, even the guys were accommodating:
Well, not all of them:

The department posted a video of the encounters on its Facebook page Thursday and had amassed more than 2.8 million views as of Friday afternoon:
