As more details of the Iran nuclear agreement are released, there is still considerable disagreement about what the deal actually does to restrict the country's nuclear ambitions.
In addition, there is a separate debate about the process: specifically, many congressional leaders believe the Obama administration has bypassed the political process set forth in the U.S. Constitution.
Experts tell For the Record that the deal is clearly a treaty, and therefore should require approval from two-thirds of the Senate in order to be ratified. However, the Obama administration chose a different path that makes it considerably easier to certify the agreement as official.
