Man Stabs Police Cruiser With 8-Inch Knife Because He ‘Wanted to Send a Message to Everyone’

Not good.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly stabbed a police officer’s vehicle with a 8-inch knife.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office

After his arrest, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect, Zachary Jacobson, told deputies he went after the cop car with a knife because he "wanted to send a message to everyone."

The message: He "hates the police."

Jacobson quickly got the attention of a sheriff’s posseman when he allegedly jumped on the hood of the police cruiser in Fountain Hills, Arizona.

When he was ordered to drop the weapon — the long knife — Jacobson drove the blade into the vehicle’s hood.

He was eventually booked into the local jail on a charge of criminal damage and he could face additional charges.
