Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush got into heated exchange with Donald Trump during the Republican presidential debate on Wednesday after he accused the billionaire of trying to get “casino gambling” in Florida.
“The one guy that had some special interests that I know of; that tried to get me to change my views on something; that was generous and gave me money was Donald Trump,” Bush said. “He wanted casino gambling in Florida.”
“I did not!” Trump interrupted. “Totally false.”
“You wanted it and you didn’t get because I was opposed to casino gambling before during and after,” Bush shot back. “I’m not going to be bought by anyone.”
Trump refused to relent, telling his Republican rival, “I promise, if I wanted it, I would’ve gotten it.”
