Of Top Three GOP Candidates, These Are the Two That Would Beat Hillary — and the One Who Wouldn't, According to New Poll

Both Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson would defeat Hillary Clinton if the 2016 election were held today, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Monday.

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump would be handily defeated by the likely-Democratic nominee, the poll found.

Specifically, Fiorina would defeat Clinton by a margin of one percent, taking the election 45 percent to 44 percent. Carson would also defeat Clinton with the same margin, winning 46 percent to 45 percent.

Trump would lose to Clinton by 10 points, being defeated 49 percent to 39 percent.

The poll also found that Jeb Bush would fall to Clinton by one-percent of the vote, losing 44 percent to 45 percent.

Vice President Joe Biden, who is still mulling a 2016 run, would defeat each of the Republican candidates if the election were held today, according to the poll.

Bernie Sanders was only polled against Trump in the general election poll, easily defeating him 52 percent to 36 percent.
