The official Twitter account for the group of University of Missouri protesters who ousted the school president blasted the "white media" Monday night for not "respecting black spaces."
"It's typically white media who don't understand the importance of respecting black spaces," the group wrote in a Tweet.
That tweet was followed by several others.
Earlier in the day, the group of protesters clashed with reporters who were simply trying to cover the demonstrations after the resignation of the Mizzou president.
Students formed a human chain around the area to create a "safe space" where the media wasn't allowed to enter.
“Hey hey, ho ho, reporters have got to go," many chanted.
