'What the Heck Is That?': Mysterious Bright Light Streaks Across Western U.S. — and No One Knows What It Is

A mysterious bright light streaked across California and Nevada Tuesday evening, leaving many skywatchers wondering exactly what it was.

"What the heck is that?" asked one witness as he observed the fireball over the night sky.

A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration told a BuzzFeed News reporter he had "no idea" what the light was.

Other officials also seemed baffled by the light.

Neither a spokesperson for NASA or the Pentagon immediately responded to a request for comment from TheBlaze.
