Donald Trump Forced to Delete Video From Facebook After Viewers Notice Big Mistake

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump was forced to delete a campaign video from his Facebook page Friday after viewers noticed that it featured Russian veterans instead of American service members.

The video, aimed at honoring the U.S. military, showcased Russian soldiers with medals featuring the hammer and sickle. The footage was traced to stock footage available at Shutterstock.

The video on the stock footage website was titled "Russia, TOGLIATTI, MAY 9, 2015, Victory Day: Veterans of World War II with red flowers in hand at the Military Parade, military medals.”

Before being deleted, the Ted Cruz campaign's social media director Josh Perry captured screen grabs of Trump's Facebook post.

"Our veterans are being treated worse than illegal immigrants," it said. "If Trump becomes president, that will end immediately. Our veterans will be proud and respected again."

The video was later reposted after the footage of Russian soldiers was removed.

A spokesperson for the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday evening.
