Awkward: Right After Hillary Clinton Talks About 'Consequences,' This Happens
January 25, 2016
With just a week to go before the Iowa Caucus, Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton's speech was interrupted for nearly one minute of continued coughing before someone gave her a cough drop.
Speaking to the Jewish Foundation of Greater Des Moines, Clinton talked about the Iran nuclear deal, and said, "How we handle enforcement in the coming months will set the tone for years to come. So we have to get it right. There must be consequences." After getting her coughing somewhat under control, the former secretary of state attempted to use tough talk in a barely audible voice saying, Iran must know, "if they try try to develop or acquire nuclear weapons, we will stop them."
