I'm the Flagship on Fox. We Treated You Fairly': O'Reilly Faces Off With Trump Over Fox News Debate

Fox News Channel host Bill O'Reilly grilled Republican frontrunner Donald Trump Wednesday evening on his decision to skip the Fox News debate, repeatedly asking the billionaire businessman to reconsider his choice to boycott the event.

O'Reilly deployed an array of arguments in his attempt to persuade Trump to cave in and participate in the Thursday debate, contending the real estate mogul would have the "upper hand" at the event.

"You have 60 seconds right off the top to tell any of the moderators that you're a pinhead, your question is unfair and here's why and here's what I want to say," O'Reilly said. "By walking away from it, you lose an opportunity to persuade people that you are a strong leader."

Trump said he understood O'Reilly's opinion, but would continue with his plans to host an event aimed at benefiting the veterans.

"But you can do that any day," O'Reilly interjected, shaking his head.

"Fox is going to make a fortune on this debate," Trump continued. "Now they're going to make much less."

The businessman added that he does not like "being used" and was bothered by a snarky statement put out Tuesday afternoon by a Fox News spokesperson.

"This also had to do with the attitude of Fox," Trump said.

"I'm the flagship on Fox. We treated you fairly," O'Reilly shot back.

The two continued to quarrel through the second statement when O'Reilly invoked milkshakes he had purchased Trump in the past.

"Would you do me a favor? Look, you owe me it because I've bought you so many vanilla milkshakes!" the Fox News host said. "I've bought you so many vanilla milkshakes you owe me!"

"Will you just consider? I want you to consider. Think about it. Say, 'Look, I might come back forgive, go forward, answer the questions, look out for the folks.' Just want you to consider it. You owe me milkshakes! I'll take them off the ledger if you consider," O'Reilly added.

"Well, even though you and I had an agreement that you wouldn't ask me that, which we did, I will therefore forget that you asked me that," Trump said.

O'Reilly conceded he had made a prior agreement not to ask Trump to reconsider attending the debate.

"You're actually telling the truth there," O'Reilly said.

"I told you up front don't ask me that question because it's an embarrassing question," Trump added.

"But I'm not going to listen to any political person who tells me not to ask anything. But, you're absolutely an honest man that I said I would try not to do it. But the milkshake thing just overwhelmed me. But I'm asking you to reconsider it," O'Reilly said.

Trump said the O'Reilly interview was "much tougher" than facing Kelly because he is "much smarter," but said he would still not attend the Thursday debate.

"Alright, you owe me 17 milkshakes then and I want them," O'Reilly concluded the interview saying.
