Check Out Which GOP Candidates Have Spent the Most and Least Time in New Hampshire

When it comes to the race for each party's nomination for president, ground game can be a good indicator as to how candidates will perform in each state's caucuses or primaries.

Two GOP candidates in particular have dominated retail politics in New Hampshire. Ohio Gov. John Kasich and N.J. Gov. Chris Christie have 180 and 179 stops in the Granite State respectively, according to Fox News.

Following Kasich and Christie is former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who has visited the state 109 times.

From there, it goes down. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has visited New Hampshire 79 times, followed by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's 75 times.

As for the candidate who has spent the least time with the first-in-the-nation primary voters, billionaire businessman Donald Trump, who is leading the GOP field at 38 percent, has only visited 39 times.

Though Trump leads the New Hampshire polls by a 24-point margin, it is worth noting that he was the odds-on favorite to win the Iowa caucus, but was bested by his chief rival, Cruz — a victory many have credited to the Texas senator's strong ground game.
