See the Instagram Posts that Are Sending Rapper 50 Cent to Court

After being ordered to court by a federal bankruptcy judge, rapper 50 Cent is probably wishing he did not have an Instagram account.

The famed rapper, who filed for bankruptcy, is being called to court by Judge Ann Nevins to explain Instagram photos showing the entertainer playing with stacks of cash, raising questions about whether or not he truly is bankrupt.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, declared bankruptcy in July 2015, halting a lawsuit by Lastonia Leviston, the ex-girlfriend of rapper Rick Ross, who sought $5 million in damages for posting a sex tape of her on the Internet, according to Fortune.

Nevins said she is "concerned about allegations of nondisclosure and a lack of transparency in the case. There’s a purpose of having a bankruptcy process be transparent, and part of that purpose is to inspire confidence in the process."

The judge is currently reviewing a plan that would require 50 Cent to surrender his earnings to a lawyer, who would oversee repayment of his $30 million in debt, a proposal the rapper's lawyers have compared to "indentured servitude."
