During a spring training game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Atlanta Braves on Saturday in Kissimmee, Florida, a baseball bat headed toward the stands was about to smack a kid in the face.
But a fan seated to his right stretched out his arm and blocked it at the last second.

The dangerous scenario can occur when a batter loses hold of the bat during a swing.
