I Don't Know': Rubio Seemingly Retracts Pledge to Support Trump if He Wins the Nomination

"It's getting harder every day."

It was only a few short days ago on the stage at Thursday night's GOP debate that Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio pledged to support the eventual nominee, but that may no longer be true.

Following violent protests ad Republican front-runner Donald Trump's cancelled Chicago rally, Rubio seemingly retracted his pledge to support his party's nominee in the general election if it is the controversial businessman.

When asked by reporters Saturday morning if he would still support Trump, Rubio said unenthusiastically, "I don't know."

This is a change from previous pledges from every Republican candidate that, regardless of who wins, they will each support the nominee.

"I've already talked about the fact that I think Hillary Clinton would be terrible for this country, but the fact that you're even asking me that question, I still, at this moment, intend to support the Republican nominee, but it's getting harder every day," Rubio said tepidly.
